Choose Own storage

Your photos in an S3-compatible bucket, a WebDAV server or an SFTP host that you own. Photobe keeps the catalogue and the sync; the bytes go straight from your devices to your storage. Includes sharing by link and RAW sync.

Presets for Hetzner, Backblaze B2, Cloudflare R2, Wasabi, Scaleway, Amazon S3, MinIO and NAS products, plus any other S3-compatible service.
WebDAV and SFTP are supported with limits: no sharing in either direction, no pictures in the web viewer, the password on every device, previews made per device.
Switching storage later, in either direction, means your devices upload the library to the new place.

How billing behaves

The price you see is the price you pay. Cancel whenever you like; the plan runs to the end of the month you paid for.

Change plans any time

Moving up or down takes effect at once, and the difference is prorated on the next invoice.

A failed payment gets two weeks

Nothing stops on the day a card fails. Sync keeps working for 14 days while you sort it out; then the account closes.

A closed account can still download

For 30 days after closing, the library is read-only: list and download everything, from every device. Your photos are kept for 180 days in total, then erased.

Your devices keep their copies

Whatever happens on our side, the files on your own devices are yours and stay where they are.

Deleting the account is a choice, not a click

Ask from the app or from this site. Nothing is removed for seven days, and you can call it off until then.

Questions people ask

Do I need an account to use Photobe?

No. The app on your device is the full app. An account exists for the things that need a server: sync, shared albums, links and the web viewer.

Can I share an album without an account?

No. Sharing, links and invitations require an account with an active plan, and a device that is not signed in has no way to send anything anywhere. If you create an account and stay on Free, sync and sharing remain off until you pick a plan.

Which plan do I need for RAW?

None to open and edit RAW files: that works everywhere, for free. To sync RAW files to our storage and see them in the web viewer you need Level 3 or above, or the Own storage plan.

What is the difference between shared albums and sharing by link?

A shared album is for people with Photobe: you invite them by email, they get a role, and the album appears in their library. A link is for everybody else: it opens in a browser, can carry a password and an expiry, and dies when you revoke it or stop sharing the album.

What happens if I stop paying?

Sync stops at the end of the paid month. For 30 days you can still list and download everything; your photos are kept for 180 days in total. The copies on your devices are untouched.

Is there a family plan?

Not yet. It is the first item on the More to come page: one subscription, several accounts, one pool of storage.
