Photobe is intentionally built so the local-only experience can remain useful without forcing you into cross-device sync.
If you stay in local-only mode, your library can remain on your device instead of being uploaded to Photobe-managed infrastructure.
Photobe works things out about your library in order to show it to you: the town a photograph was taken in, which photographs belong to the same trip, which ones look alike, and which are screenshots you may want to clear out. All of it is computed on your device, from information the files already carry, and the results are stored on that device. None of it is sent to us, and none of it needs a server to work — place names, for instance, come from a list carried inside the app rather than from asking anyone where you have been.
